About the position

The Director of Sales Compensation - Design and Analytics at Epsilon is responsible for developing and overseeing sales compensation plans that align with company objectives and drive desired behaviors for strong outcomes. This role involves creating training materials, communication documents, and conducting effectiveness analyses of compensation plans. The Director will collaborate with various internal stakeholders and lead a team of two sales compensation professionals in a hybrid work environment based in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design sales compensation plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Create training materials and communication documents for compensation programs.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of sales compensation plans and present findings to leadership.
  • Manage the distribution of plan documents and calculators for compensation rollouts.
  • Participate in resolving escalated issues related to incentive compensation plans.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and Sales Operations to develop Compensation Policies.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in sales incentive compensation design and development.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and solve problems effectively.
  • Advanced time management skills to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Prior experience leading a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS in a quantitative major such as finance, business, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Experience with sales compensation tools like Xactly Incent.
