About the position

The Director of Sales for Energy Key Accounts at Mantis Innovation is responsible for leading the sales team focused on energy procurement, including electricity, natural gas, and green energy solutions. This role involves driving revenue growth, developing effective sales strategies, and fostering team cohesion through coaching and mentorship. The position requires a strong sales leader who can enhance team performance and achieve key account results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive results of the Energy Key Accounts sales team.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Champion new sales methodologies to achieve client value propositions.
  • Lead by example in sales activities and set high standards of excellence.
  • Develop and implement coaching programs for individual and team performance improvement.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
  • Evaluate and implement automation initiatives to streamline sales processes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to communicate value propositions effectively.
  • Support negotiations of contracts and pricing agreements with customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track progress against targets.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales leadership role.
  • 3+ years of energy industry experience with a thorough understanding of closing large deals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a coaching mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Results-oriented mindset focused on customer satisfaction and business growth.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Sales or sales management experience in energy procurement and energy efficiency solutions.
  • Data and metrics orientation with experience in major CRM systems.
