About the position

The Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Phoenix is responsible for overseeing the hotel's sales, event, and marketing operations. This role involves managing the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, and developing business plans. The director leads the implementation of strategies across all sales and marketing channels to achieve revenue goals and enhance market performance. This position is highly visible, with direct reporting to the General Manager and oversight from the Regional Vice President of Sales and Events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hotel's sales, event, and marketing operations.
  • Manage the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L and revenue forecasting.
  • Develop and write business plans and conduct ownership meetings.
  • Lead the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies in sales, catering, and marketing channels.
  • Train and monitor the group and transient contractual agreement process, including quoting rates and managing accounts.
  • Recruit, hire, and train sales and event services staff, including managing and coaching managers.
  • Ensure effective interaction with diverse groups and maintain professional presentation skills.
