About the position

The Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Phoenix is responsible for overseeing the hotel's sales, event, and marketing operations. This role involves managing the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, and developing business plans. The director leads the implementation of strategies to achieve revenue goals and enhance market share performance, while also managing a team of sales and event managers, trainees, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hotel's sales, event, and marketing operations.
  • Manage the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L and revenue forecasting.
  • Develop and write business plans and conduct ownership meetings.
  • Lead the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies in sales, catering, and marketing channels.
  • Train and monitor the group and transient contractual agreement process, including quoting rates and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts.
  • Recruit, hire, and train sales and event services staff, coaching managers in their selling and servicing processes.
  • Ensure alignment with company goals to maximize hotel revenues.
