About the position

The Director of Sales, Marketing and Events at jdv by Hyatt is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Event operations of the Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa. This position entails managing the Sales, Marketing, and Events Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, and marketing strategies. The Director will develop and write comprehensive business plans and lead ownership meetings to ensure alignment with the hotel's revenue goals. This role is crucial in implementing both short-term and long-term strategies across all sales, catering, and marketing channels to enhance market performance and achieve financial objectives. In addition to strategic oversight, the Director of Sales, Marketing and Events will lead a team comprising sales and event managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. This includes managing the recruitment and hiring processes for sales and event services staff, as well as training and coaching managers to optimize their selling and servicing processes. The Director will also oversee the group and transient contractual agreement processes, which involve quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. Reporting directly to the General Manager and receiving oversight from the Regional Vice President of Sales and Events, this role is integral to the hotel's leadership team. As a member of the property's Leadership Committee, the Director of Sales and Events will have significant visibility and interaction with Senior and Corporate leadership. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Sales, Marketing, and Event operations of the hotel.
