About the position

The Director of Sales & Marketing at Legacy Senior Living is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the sales and marketing teams across multiple facilities. This role involves overseeing the management and performance of these teams, ensuring accountability for achieving census targets, conducting market analysis, and developing effective sales strategies. The position requires a hands-on approach to training and coaching community teams, as well as building strong relationships with executive directors and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Sales Teams at the Community Level and work with these teams to achieve census targets
  • Build strong relationships with Executive Directors
  • Assist in the hiring and performance management of community sales people
  • Train and coach community teams in meeting the standards for inside and outside sales
  • Provide training in sales and marketing classroom/field training and coaching to all key personnel
  • Take a hands-on approach to community site visits with modeling of tours, sales calls, inquiries and follow up
  • Communicate clear expectations for sales performance
  • Research and complete market analysis for each community and develop a functional, measurable plan to impact occupancy
  • Assist in developing a sales strategy based on an understanding of the market
  • Assist operations in the annual budget process

Requirements

  • Positive track record of success in senior living sales and marketing
  • Bachelor's or post graduate degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years sales and marketing experience within a long term care community
  • Minimum two (2) years multi-site or regional management experience within the senior living industry
  • The ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Proven ability to conduct a strategic market analysis at the community and regional level
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach and mentor Sales Professionals
  • Dynamic, energetic personality with the ability to motivate others
  • Strong communications, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities
  • Valid driver's license
