About the position

SeaDream Yacht Club is seeking an experienced sales representative to join our team and cover the Midwest territory. This is not just any sales role; we are looking for a seasoned hunter in the luxury travel industry who is ready to sell a product that is recognized as the best in its class. Our company specializes in providing unparalleled levels of service and experience in the luxury cruise sector, and we have built a fiercely loyal client base over the past 30 years. Many of our clients have sailed with us multiple times, and our repeat business is a testament to the once-in-a-lifetime experiences we deliver on every voyage. As a sales representative, your primary responsibility will be to work with the travel agent community to sell full-yacht charters and conduct face-to-face meetings with consumers in the luxury space. You will be tasked with spreading the word about SeaDream Yacht Club, which is often considered the "best-kept secret" in the industry. Your role will involve reaching out to travel professionals in your region, building relationships, and helping us gain access to their clients to sell them the dream of luxury travel with SeaDream. To succeed in this position, you must have a passion for travel and a strong belief that SeaDream offers the best product available on the market. We are looking for someone who enjoys the thrill of the hunt—picking up the phone, tracking down leads, following up on promises, and most importantly, closing sales. You will need to demonstrate a track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and provide proof of your results. Additionally, you must have a referenceable work history, as we will want to speak to individuals you have sold to and those you have reported to in the past.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the travel agent community to sell full-yacht charters.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with consumers in the luxury travel space.
  • Build relationships with travel professionals to promote SeaDream Yacht Club.
  • Track down leads and follow up on sales opportunities relentlessly.
  • Close sales and exceed sales quotas consistently.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the luxury travel industry.
  • Experience selling luxury travel products such as luxury hotels, yachts, or resorts.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time within the multi-state territory.
  • A track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas.
  • Referenceable work history with clients and supervisors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in yachting or luxury cruise sales via direct and travel partners.
