Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Director of Sales for the 150-room Ramada by Wyndham Waterpark & Event Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The Director of Sales will play a crucial role in shaping the hotel's sales strategy and overall profitability. This position requires a dynamic individual who can develop and implement a comprehensive sales effort that includes securing new accounts, maintaining existing relationships, and executing effective sales and marketing strategies. The ultimate goal is to maximize the hotel's profitability while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. In this role, the Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients to produce group business, which encompasses room sales, food and beverage sales, and catering/banquet services. The successful candidate will actively participate in networking events and foster good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations. This includes attending local and out-of-town meetings and conventions to generate sales for the hotel. Conducting site tours for potential clients will also be a key responsibility, as well as maintaining a comprehensive customer database to track interactions and sales opportunities. Additionally, the Director of Sales will be tasked with developing contracts and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. A significant aspect of this role involves developing and managing the departmental budget, monitoring sales activity and performance to ensure that sales meet or exceed the established profit plan. The Director will also be responsible for accurately reporting variances and projections to management, ensuring that the hotel remains on track to achieve its financial goals.
