About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for building out the State and Local Government (SLED) Go-To-Market (GTM) team from the ground up, enabling WalkMe to capitalize on the significant market opportunity within the Public Sector. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue performance for the SLED team, ensuring that the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets are met and exceeded. You will also be tasked with senior management reporting, providing insights and updates on the team's performance and strategic direction. As a leader, you will hire, lead, and retain a high-performing sales team dedicated to SLED accounts. You will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for growing these accounts, which will include crafting a robust GTM strategy tailored specifically for the SLED market. Your role will require direct interaction with customers, partners, and influencers, as well as collaboration with WalkMe's leadership to ensure alignment and support for the SLED initiatives. To succeed in this position, you will need to leverage your extensive experience in tech sales, particularly within the SLED sector, to build demand and establish WalkMe as a leader in this new category of technology. Your strong existing relationships within the territory will be crucial in driving sales and fostering partnerships that enhance WalkMe's presence in the Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Build out the SLED GTM team from the ground up.
  • Drive SLED team revenue (ARR) performance.
  • Provide senior management reporting on team performance.
  • Hire, lead, and retain a sales team focused on SLED accounts.
  • Develop a strategy for growing SLED accounts.
  • Create and implement a GTM strategy for SLED.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of tech sales experience as an individual contributor, with at least 5 years of sales management experience.
  • Proven track record of selling enterprise solutions to U.S. SLED accounts.
  • Strong existing relationships in the territory.
  • Direct interaction with customers, partners, influencers, and WalkMe's leadership.
  • Experience with SLED contracting/procurement and selling through VARs (e.g., Carahsoft, SHI, CDW).
  • Experience building demand in a new category of technology.
