About the position

As the Director of Sales for IGT's PlaySports team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales strategy and execution for our Sports Betting solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of the sports betting landscape, including the technical aspects of our systems and platforms. You will be responsible for leading all pre-sales activities, which include prospecting potential clients, conducting product demonstrations, and preparing proposals and responses to RFPs. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing IGT as a trusted partner in the sports betting industry, leveraging your existing relationships and industry knowledge to foster new business opportunities. In this role, you will also be expected to represent IGT at trade conferences, acting as an ambassador for our Sports Betting solutions. This involves not only showcasing our products but also gathering insights on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes that could impact our business. You will utilize CRM tools to meticulously track sales activities and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring that commercial planning and forecasting are based on accurate data. The ideal candidate will possess a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to analyze potential new markets and understand the competitive landscape. You will need to be a natural problem solver, capable of addressing client needs and concerns effectively. Your strong analytical skills will help you make data-driven decisions that drive results and foster innovation within the team. This position reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of Sports Betting, PlaySports, and requires a proactive approach to leadership and collaboration within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support with lead generation and sales presentations.
  • Lead demonstrations of IGT's Sports Betting system.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and sales collateral.
  • Help organize, attend, and act as an ambassador for our Sports Betting solutions at trade conferences.
  • Analyze potential new markets to understand regulations, competitor landscape, and opportunities.
  • Collect competitor information and product information to feed back into the organization.
  • Use CRM and other tools to accurately track all activity.
  • Produce / consolidate and maintain prospects' pipeline for commercial planning, analysis and forecast.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sports betting, preferably in sports betting operations, or technology.
  • B2B customer-focused experience with a sports betting supplier, or technology company is a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for presentations to customers and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and work at a fast pace.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Performance driven, detail and results oriented.
  • No impediments to obtaining a gaming license in relevant states.
