About the position

The Director of Sales Strategy and Client Solutions at SAIC is responsible for driving new market growth through strategic business development, capture management, and client engagement, specifically targeting integrated solutions for the US Navy and US Marine Corps in the INDOPACOM region. This role requires a deep understanding of the defense sector, strong relationships within the region, and a proven track record of securing high-value contracts. The Director will work closely with various teams to create and manage a dynamic pipeline of opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new market growth through strategy, business development, capture, solutioning, and client engagement.
  • Create, shape, and win new contract opportunities for on-contract growth and long-term strategic positioning.
  • Develop and execute integrated capture plans following established internal gates and best practices.
  • Align organizational growth objectives with targeted opportunities to cultivate a strong pipeline.
  • Foster collaboration with subject matter experts and Program Managers to translate technical information into proposals.
  • Support Program Managers in addressing execution challenges and identifying new work opportunities.
  • Employ customer engagement techniques to articulate solutions and enhance market presence.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to ensure exceptional execution of current contracts.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and assist in conducting black-hat analyses.
  • Contribute to the formation of strategic alliances and teaming agreements.
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts and present sales pipeline updates to leadership.
  • Transform customer requirements into win strategies and validate solutions through engagement.
  • Participate in internal gate reviews and lead lessons-learned documentation.
  • Manage opportunity validation and maturation processes for Pursue/No Pursue decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management regarding pipeline status and revenue forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus eighteen (18) years of related experience; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrable understanding of federal procurement acquisition processes and contract types.
  • Deep understanding of the defense sector and strong relationships within the INDOPACOM region.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value contracts.
  • Experience working with Senior and Executive management and key Federal customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance is highly desirable.
