The Director of Sales is a key member of the management team at Wallkill Golf Club, responsible for maximizing catering and event revenues. This role involves creating and implementing promotional and sales plans for the club's facilities, which cater to a variety of events including weddings, banquets, business meetings, social events, golf outings, and member-related activities. The Director will utilize salesforce.com to maintain an events prospect database, track communications, and record sales activities. Additionally, the Director will respond to inquiries from prospective clients, conduct tours of the facilities, and oversee the preparation of contracts for events. The Director of Sales will also play a crucial role in planning and coordinating catered events, ensuring that all details are meticulously managed. This includes determining specifications for goods to order, scheduling personnel, and communicating menu information to production staff. The Director will regularly evaluate services to identify opportunities for improvement and will attend important events to foster relationships that can generate referrals and additional business opportunities for the club.
