Irving, TX

About the position

We are currently seeking a Director of Sales to join our team and oversee our sales department. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales for Soka Suites Dallas-Las Colinas by engaging in outside sales calls, obtaining new accounts, conducting site tours, and networking with the local business community. Your daily activities will involve soliciting, negotiating, and booking both new and repeat business, as well as actively selling room nights through various methods such as telemarketing and site tours. You will also be accountable for forecasting, creating promotional materials, and maintaining constant communication with your General Manager. As the Director of Sales, you will direct, train, coordinate, and supervise the Sales and Catering Managers and the Sales Coordinator in all sales-related activities. Meeting or exceeding the budgeted REVPAR for the hotel will be a key performance indicator for your success. Additionally, you will ensure that team members, particularly front desk staff, are familiar with key accounts and the specifics relating to business booked in the hotel. This position may require flexible scheduling availability to accommodate the needs of the business and the clients you serve.
