About the position

As the Director of Sales for Culloden, WV, the ideal candidate possesses significant sales leadership experience within either wholesale distribution and/or industrial manufacturing. This role is designed for a results-oriented and high-performance individual who will thrive in managing both an Inside and Outside Sales force, as well as our Manufacturer's Representative Network. The position requires a blend of sales strategy, personnel management, and business development skills aimed at creating a compelling and exciting career path for the sales team. The Director of Sales will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. This includes directing a sales team and providing leadership towards achieving maximum profitability and growth in alignment with the company's vision and values. The role involves establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area, as well as contributing to the development of training and educational programs for customers and team members. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, conflict management expertise, and independent decision-making capabilities. A top-performing Director of Sales should lead by example, hone and execute strategic business plans, and develop the skillset and knowledge base of the sales team. Regular communication with senior executive leadership regarding business conditions and strategy execution is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic growth plans and sales strategies for each market that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Drive and contribute to pricing strategies based upon market intel and analysis
  • Prepare action plans for each individual and the greater team for achieving sales growth and successfully servicing customer base
  • Analyze profitability throughout the business intervals based upon data
  • Regularly communicate with senior executive leadership on business conditions and strategy execution
  • Collaborate with marketing team on campaign and asset development
  • Regularly participate in development of sales team and collaboration with the sales teams at other facilities
  • Responsible for the entire team reaching overall sales goals
  • Sets examples for sales staff in areas of commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
  • Maintains contact with customers in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in sales management within wholesale distribution or industrial manufacturing
  • College degree required, preferably in Business, Industrial Distribution, Communications or other related fields
  • Strong understanding of distribution supply channels and market dynamics
  • Proven leadership skills driving teams for success and results-orientation in achieving goals
