About the position

The Director of Sales at MedSpeed is a key leadership role responsible for driving the company's growth by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones. This position focuses on increasing revenue through strategic sales of centralized transportation outsourcing solutions, particularly within healthcare networks and laboratories. The Director will work closely with internal teams to align business goals, develop tailored solutions, and ensure successful contract acquisition and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective clients, determining appropriate internal resources based on opportunity size and account tier.
  • Lead prospects through the sales process from initial engagement to proposal development, ensuring timely communication and collaboration with the operations team and other stakeholders.
  • Educate potential clients on MedSpeed's value proposition and service differentiation, aligning with client objectives.
  • Oversee the proposal process, including coordination, scheduling, content development, and delivery to ensure high close rates.
  • Work closely with legal and internal stakeholders to navigate contract negotiations and finalize agreements.
  • Collaborate with the RVP of Sales to identify high-value health systems and key prospects not yet engaged with MedSpeed.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to create compelling proposal materials and engagement strategies.
  • Keep Salesforce and other CRM tools updated with accurate client information and sales activity.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture across departments to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Perform additional duties related to sales growth and client management as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, focusing on selling services or solutions to healthcare providers.
  • Proven track record of success in long sales cycles.
  • Experience managing large, complex sales involving multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Background in business sales rather than clinical or product sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare logistics or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
