About the position

The Director of Sales at Holiday Inn Redding is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets and enhance business growth. This role involves training and evaluating sales personnel, generating new business, and ensuring high occupancy and profitability for the hotel. The ideal candidate is a leader with a strong background in hotel sales and a commitment to driving revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations.
  • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that align with the hotel's overall revenue management goals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers.
  • Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses.
  • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required.
  • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales through lead-generation and closing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $65,000 - $75,000 yearly.
