About the position

The Director of School Services at Potential Inc. is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the instructional and operational aspects of a private special education school. This position ensures a high-quality, inclusive learning environment for students diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Director coordinates with teachers, staff, families, and external partners to foster academic, social, and personal growth, while aligning school initiatives with the organizational mission and complying with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and support to staff and students.
• Manage student support and behavior management.
• Supervise and develop teaching staff.
• Oversee program compliance and operational management.
• Engage with the community and communicate school objectives.
• Strategically plan for school improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Psychology, Special Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
• Special Education Teacher Certification in Pennsylvania.
• 5 - 10 years of experience working in a school setting.
• 2 - 5+ years of experience managing and supervising staff, preferably in special education.
• Demonstrated success in instructional leadership and school management.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of current treatment options and issues related to Autism and the special education community.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and industry-specific software.
• Public speaking skills for presentations.
