About the position

We are seeking a full-time Director of Social Media to work with our family of companies. This job is not to work with one specific company, but to work across all of our companies. It will be a fun, but challenging job. You would completely manage all social media and be responsible for content creation, including lots of video work. We are looking to move heavily into video production, mostly educational and informational, but fun videos about how to do many of the things our businesses do and how it all works. You will need knowledge of editing and shooting videos in addition to being willing to learn how to make our videos easy to find for those seeking this information. Most of our business is centered around real estate services, but we have begun expanding into other services and trades. Our flagship companies are a real estate brokerage with nearly 1,100 agents in Texas and a property management company with nearly 1,000 single-family homes under management in Austin and San Antonio. Additionally, we have a real estate holding company with a small RV park, a maintenance company, a roofing company, and an insurance company. We have aggressive plans for growth and are looking for someone who can become our video and social media leader within our family of companies.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for content creation through various social media and types of content.
  • Become an expert on social media marketing and how to reach our target audience.
  • Manage our online reputation through social media.
  • Grow our following with amazing content and clever ideas.
  • Create innovative content that stands out from the competition.
  • Ensure our content ranks highly in search results.
  • Work directly with the CMO and one of the founders to feature him in videos.
  • Write, create, and shoot videos, becoming familiar with editing software.
  • Direct, edit, and polish videos from start to finish.
  • Help create, coordinate, and adhere to budgets where applicable.
  • Prepare reports to support routine reviews of benchmarks and progress.
  • Support the CMO with other projects as required.

Requirements

  • Incredible creativity and extremely well written and spoken communication skills.
  • Mastery of social media platforms and marketing strategies.
  • Previous video creation and editing experience, with a portfolio to showcase work.
  • Willingness to learn how to work the algorithms on various platforms.
  • Embrace technology and have experience with multiple tech suites.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of timing, lighting, and sound quality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in real estate or related industries.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Knowledge of video production techniques and equipment.
