About the position

The Director of Social Media at Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas is responsible for developing and implementing social media and influencer strategies to support the company's hospitality, travel, and tourism objectives. This role involves leading content strategy, managing a small team, and collaborating with various departments to enhance brand awareness and engagement across multiple platforms. The Director will report to the VP of Enterprise Social and will play a key role in driving impactful social media campaigns for the Las Vegas properties, particularly Caesars Palace.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the social marketing strategy and execution for all eight Las Vegas properties, focusing on Caesars Palace.
  • Develops citywide social media campaigns to ensure innovative execution and authentic engagement.
  • Collaborates with direct reports to create and maintain content calendars for a fresh and accurate content strategy.
  • Manages day-to-day social media activities for Caesars Palace, covering hospitality, hotel, food & beverage, entertainment, and gaming.
  • Builds and manages relationships with influencers and content creators to align with business initiatives.
  • Leverages internal and external agency resources for a best-in-class content strategy.
  • Drives accountability through effective project trackers, communication plans, and success metrics.
  • Aligns with senior colleagues to support business objectives and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Builds a stable of strong national and regional influencers and content creator contacts.
  • Leads hands-on content creation and strategic thinking to motivate the team.
  • Facilitates teamwork and learning opportunities for direct reports, providing constructive feedback.
  • Spearheads social media marketing for major property-based events.
  • Complies with governance in using enterprise social media publishing and analytics tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8+ years of experience in social media with strategy and leadership experience, preferably in food, beverage, and travel industries.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with strong proofreading and editing ability.
  • Successful experience in developing and implementing strategic social media strategies that produced superior results.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to work across various departments.
  • Good understanding of current issues in the social media and content marketing landscape.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is a plus.
