About the position

The Freelance Director of Social Strategy at INNOCEAN USA is responsible for shaping Hyundai's social vision for 2025. This role involves developing and executing social media strategies, overseeing content creation, and ensuring consistency across various platforms. The position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in omni-channel content marketing and social media management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic voice for the INNOCEAN social media team for Hyundai.
  • Help plan and author the 2025 Hyundai social strategy.
  • Respond to ad hoc POV requests on social landscape, new platforms and features, and competitive automotive social landscape.
  • Provide day-to-day strategic support and assist in the execution of Hyundai social campaigns.
  • Present creative briefs to internal teams and external media and content production partners.
  • Provide key channel and community insights and strategic frameworks for social messaging development.
  • Gather secondary online research findings to inform social and creative strategy.
  • Lead and moderate brainstorm sessions for program executions and campaigns with the social team.
  • Partner with integrated and social creative teams, data science teams, strategic planners, brand managers, media, and production to build effective campaigns.
  • Measure and report on performance, ensuring message consistency across multiple networks.

Requirements

  • 8 years experience in content strategy/development, digital marketing, and social media strategy.
  • Experience in customer journey mapping, connections planning, and communications planning.
  • Supervisory/Managerial experience.
  • Proven competence in marketing and communications, including brand messaging.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to curate compelling graphic imagery.
  • Experience working with social monitoring/listening tools and Google Analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in brainstorming and ideation sessions.
  • Understanding of online market and social/digital capabilities.
