About the position

The Director of Engineering at NinjaOne will lead a team of product development engineers to drive the creation of innovative IT Operations software products. This role is crucial in shaping the technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and fostering a high-performance culture. The director will collaborate with product management to define the product roadmap and will be responsible for engineering process improvements while mentoring team leads and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and inspire a globally distributed team of engineers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor managers and team leads to enhance leadership strengths.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from technical strategy to deployment.
• Drive velocity in product development execution and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to the development process by actively coding.
• Collaborate across teams to define and deliver new products and features based on customer feedback and market research.
• Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Stay current with industry trends and encourage a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 10+ years in senior technology leadership roles in a B2B SaaS company.
• Strong background in software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud technologies and scalable systems.
• Proven success in hiring and building cohesive, high-performing engineering teams.
• Technical experience in enterprise software, firmware, operating systems, and applications.
• In-depth experience with diverse programming languages and adaptability to new technologies.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to establish and manage processes to ensure product quality.
