As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Compute Platforms, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. In this role, you will manage multiple agile software delivery teams and partner with the Product partners to drive technology delivery. You will deliver solutions leveraging modern technologies including cloud backed APIs and microservices utilizing distributed database technologies. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of technology delivery, providing leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple areas. You will lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives, making decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures. You will carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations. Additionally, you will deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains, influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams, and champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
