About the position

As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase, you will lead a technical area within the Employee Platform: Workforce Technology. This role involves driving impact across teams, technologies, and projects, utilizing your expertise in software and product management to oversee multiple complex initiatives. You will be a primary decision maker, responsible for innovation and solution delivery, while championing the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
• Partner with Product teams to accomplish key business deliverables
• Collaborate with Agility Lead to maintain a clean Jira backlog and Jira Align roadmap
• Make decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
• Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
• Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
• Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

Requirements

• Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
• Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• Expertise in Agile Methodology including tools like Jira and Jira Align
• Experience in running roadmap planning and resource allocations
• Practical cloud native experience
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
