The Director of Store Operations at Eataly is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the complex operations within the store. This position requires a strategic leader who can collaborate with senior leadership to plan and execute initiatives aimed at driving sales, enhancing profitability, and ensuring a positive experience for both guests and team members. The Director will work closely with the VP of Operations and manage the store's leadership team across various departments including Restaurants, Retail, Quick Service, Culinary, and Facilities. This role also involves collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to align with the overall organizational goals. In this role, the Director will direct the store strategy and oversee daily operations, ensuring that Eataly’s high standards are consistently met in terms of guest service, financial objectives, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing labor costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising. The Director will also develop and manage the store operations budget, implementing cost control measures while maintaining high quality standards. Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve store performance is essential, as is analyzing sales data and guest feedback to make informed decisions. The Director will promote interdepartmental collaboration, maintaining constant communication with store leaders regarding performance and strategic initiatives. As the final decision-making point for store-related issues, the Director will motivate, inspire, and develop the team by setting clear expectations and leading by example. Additionally, this role involves partnering with HR for hiring, performance reviews, and terminations, as well as representing the store to the community and guests. Other duties may be assigned as required.
