About the position

Join Treehouse as the Director of Strategic Finance, a pivotal role that will drive our financial strategy and operational growth. This position reports directly to the COO and is essential in shaping our financial forecast, prioritizing growth opportunities, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your strategic insights will be instrumental in guiding our growth and securing our position as a leader in electrification services. As the Director of Strategic Finance, you will manage Treehouse's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function, which includes overseeing record keeping, the monthly close process, tax programs, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P). You will drive the monthly forecasting and quarterly and annual planning processes, conducting monthly reviews with the executive team and functional leaders regarding performance against forecast and budget. Additionally, you will determine pricing strategies and set discount guidelines in close partnership with our field operations and sales teams. Your role will also involve evaluating the margin profile and economic viability of new product categories and services, managing preparation for board meetings, and overseeing Treehouse's procurement function. This includes determining our financial tooling stack and negotiating contracts and renewals with key vendors. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a strong analytical mindset to this critical position.

Responsibilities

• Manage Treehouse's FP&A function including record keeping, monthly close process, tax program, A/R, and A/P.
• Drive Treehouse's monthly forecasting and quarterly and annual planning processes.
• Conduct monthly reviews with the executive team and functional leaders regarding performance against forecast and budget.
• Determine pricing strategy and set discount guidelines in partnership with field operations and sales teams.
• Evaluate the margin profile and economic viability of new product categories and services.
• Manage preparation for board meetings.
• Oversee Treehouse's procurement function including financial tooling stack and negotiating contracts and renewals with key vendors.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in consulting, banking, private equity, venture capital, or on the finance team of a venture-backed startup, preferably with some time spent in the climate and/or electrification industry.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced analytics, with experience using financial software, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree.
