About the position
The Director of Strategic Business Initiatives & Project Management at Tulane University serves as a key leader within the Tulane School of Medicine, responsible for managing and integrating complex, transformational business initiatives and projects. This role supports the Vice President and Chief Business Officer (CBO) and collaborates closely with senior leadership across the institution. The position involves driving organizational change and developing long-term strategies to achieve fiscal growth, operational efficiency, and institutional goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and integrate complex business initiatives and projects within the Tulane School of Medicine.
- Support the Vice President and Chief Business Officer (CBO) in strategic planning and execution.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across Tulane School of Medicine and Tulane University.
- Drive organizational change and assist in developing long-term strategies.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving institutional goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years in project coordination, administrative management, strategic planning, or related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well in a multicultural dynamic environment.
- Proven track record in managing competing priorities and working effectively under pressure.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years in an academic medical center/health system setting.
