About the position

As the Director of Strategic Sales for Global Nexis Solutions at RELX INC, you will be instrumental in expanding our footprint within large enterprises. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise sales and strategic solutions selling, as you will be responsible for driving new sales initiatives and collaborating with various internal business partners. Your expertise will be crucial in executing a complex, solution-based sales process that involves engaging with multiple groups and top-level decision-makers within large organizations. You will be expected to create and implement outbound prospecting plans to build a robust sales opportunity pipeline, ensuring that we meet and exceed our quarterly and annual sales quotas. In this position, you will define account strategies that facilitate sales by working closely with the Nexis Solutions Sales, Product, and Marketing teams. You will also be tasked with developing unsolicited proposals that align with customer initiatives, positioning Nexis Solutions effectively to secure large, complex deals. Regular preparation of action plans and business reviews will be essential to track progress and adjust strategies as necessary. Your role will not only focus on achieving sales targets but also on fostering relationships that lead to long-term partnerships with our clients. The Director of Strategic Sales will be part of a dynamic and innovative sales team at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, a division of RELX, which serves customers in over 150 countries. Responsibilities

  • Exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Executing a complex, solution-based sales process encompassing multiple groups & top-level decision makers within large enterprise organizations
  • Creating and executing outbound prospecting plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
  • Defining account strategies that enable sales by partnering with Nexis Solutions Sales, Product and Marketing teams
  • Developing unsolicited proposals that align with customer initiatives and position Nexis Solutions effectively to win large complex deals
  • Preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly action plans and business reviews

Requirements

  • Possess thorough comprehension of assigned accounts' business, finance, products, market, and challenges
  • Demonstrate strategic sales success within large multinational organizations - track record of exceeding quotas; recognition, awards
  • Have experience selling enterprise level API and SaaS Solutions and experience positioning AI and Generative AI based propositions
  • Have proven 'hunter' (new business) selling skills within the large enterprise space
  • Be able to apply diverse expertise in multiple areas for effective deal making
  • Be able to anticipate and interpret business issues to design innovative alternative plans for achieving commercial targets
  • Be able to solve complex business problems with broad impact through effective problem-solving skills
