About the position

As the Director of Strategic Sales at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will be instrumental in expanding our footprint within large enterprises. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal market and the ability to leverage advanced technologies, including AI and generative AI solutions, to drive sales. You will collaborate closely with various internal business partners to enhance the sales of Global Nexis Solutions, ensuring that our offerings align with the needs of our clients. Your primary focus will be on executing a complex, solution-based sales process that involves engaging with multiple stakeholders and top-level decision-makers within large organizations. In this position, you will be responsible for exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas, which will require you to create and implement effective outbound prospecting plans. You will also define account strategies that facilitate sales by working in partnership with the Nexis Solutions Sales, Product, and Marketing teams. A key aspect of your role will involve developing unsolicited proposals that resonate with customer initiatives, positioning Nexis Solutions to secure large, complex deals. Additionally, you will prepare regular action plans and business reviews to track progress and adjust strategies as necessary. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to comprehend the business landscape of assigned accounts, including their finance, products, market dynamics, and challenges. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of strategic sales success within large multinational organizations, showcasing your ability to exceed quotas and earn recognition for your achievements. Your experience in selling enterprise-level API and SaaS solutions, along with your expertise in positioning AI and generative AI propositions, will be crucial. As a 'hunter' in the large enterprise space, you will apply your diverse expertise to effectively navigate complex business problems and design innovative solutions that meet commercial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Executing a complex, solution-based sales process encompassing multiple groups & top-level decision makers within large enterprise organizations
  • Creating and executing outbound prospecting plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
  • Defining account strategies that enable sales by partnering with Nexis Solutions Sales, Product and Marketing teams
  • Developing unsolicited proposals that align with customer initiatives and position Nexis Solutions effectively to win large complex deals
  • Preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly action plans and business reviews

Requirements

  • Possess thorough comprehension of assigned accounts' business, finance, products, market, and challenges
  • Demonstrate strategic sales success within large multinational organizations - track record of exceeding quotas; recognition, awards
  • Have experience selling enterprise level API and SaaS Solutions and experience positioning AI and Generative AI based propositions
  • Have proven 'hunter' (new business) selling skills within the large enterprise space
  • Be able to apply diverse expertise in multiple areas for effective deal making
  • Be able to anticipate and interpret business issues to design innovative alternative plans for achieving commercial targets
  • Be able to solve complex business problems with broad impact through effective problem-solving skills
