About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing for Raw Materials is responsible for overseeing both domestic and international sourcing of raw materials, focusing on IQF fruits and vegetables, proteins, dairy, spices, and minor ingredients. This role involves developing and executing multi-year strategies to ensure supply continuity, quality, and food safety standards while achieving the best total cost options. The position requires strong relationship management skills and routine interaction with senior leadership to communicate market trends and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee domestic and international sourcing of raw materials.
• Develop and execute multi-year strategies for key raw material inputs.
• Communicate trends and market changes to senior leadership.
• Provide pricing directions on commodities and buying strategies.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and quality requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing department.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership experience within a team and the business.
