About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing at Prototek will play a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement of goods and services across multiple business units and locations. This leadership position is essential for driving revenue growth and improving EBITDA through strategic outsourcing initiatives. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies, managing outsourcing contracts, and ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of goods and services across multiple business units and locations.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company's business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers for corporate contracts.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal value for the company.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Work directly with business units to identify opportunities for growth through outsourcing.
• Achieve revenue and profit targets for the Outsourcing business.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with outsourcing activities.
• Collaborate with various business units to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with the overall procurement strategy.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team across company locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field required.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CPM, CPSM) preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant management experience in the prototyping or manufacturing industry required.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• P&L experience preferred.
• Experience in ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification.
• Proficient knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and quality system standards.
• Advanced knowledge of processes and technologies used in prototyping and manufacturing.
