About the position
This position is for a Director of Procurement & Sourcing within a leading manufacturing equipment provider in the US, focusing on supply chain leadership. The role involves managing significant sourcing budgets, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring operational efficiency across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic procurement within a multi-site manufacturing environment, demonstrating leadership and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve overall spend quality relating to OEM manufacturing, vendors, and category data across a multi-site landscape.
- Oversee strategic supplier identification, management, and negotiations.
- Develop and implement tension spending strategies that promote organizational growth.
- Ensure all operations within manufacturing settings meet goals of value through strategic sourcing techniques and savings.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic procurement/sourcing within a multi-site manufacturing environment, ideally within an OEM provider.
- Bachelor's degree minimum; master's in supply chain or MBA preferred.
- Experience managing sourcing budgets of more than $500 million.
- Proven experience in sourcing strategy and supplier tensioning results.
- Strong multi-site project management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
