About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing & Outsourcing at Prototek is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services across multiple business units and locations. This position focuses on driving revenue and EBITDA growth through strategic outsourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives, and managing supplier relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of goods and services across multiple business units and locations.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company's business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, evaluation, and selection of categories and suppliers for corporate contracts.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal value for the company.
• Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Resolve disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
• Work with business units and commercial sales teams to identify opportunities for growth through outsourcing.
• Achieve revenue and profit targets for the Outsourcing business.
• Establish formal qualification requirements for outsourcing vendors and develop an audit process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement management.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience in vendor management and performance evaluation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in CNC machining or precision sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D:2016 standards.
• Knowledge of ITAR regulations.
