Position Summary:
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Director of Student Success and EOF to work in the Enrollment Management & Student Success Department.
The Director will lead the planning, and implementation of Academic Success Center (ASC) advising strategies, Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) program initiatives and all departmental operations. The Director oversees student initiatives that support academic success which include but are not limited peer tutoring, student groups, academic workshops, disability services, orientations, program liaison support, and academic support programing for special populations. The Director supervises all academic success staff and is the primary liaison between all SHP and all other Rutgers partners and affiliates.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Directs and leads all office operations for ASC and EOF.
Leads the implementation of student development programs, including student cohorts, student recognition events, and academic success programming and student engagement activities.
Oversees student advisement for SHP student body to ensure best practices and national standards for academic advising and are measured and being met.
Responsible for preparing all EOF state interim and annual reports.
Serves as principal liaison between department and University/SHP administrative units such as Rutgers EOF, Purchasing, Human Resources, Financial Aid, Accounting, Grants/Contracts, Payroll as well as The State of New Jersey.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree plus five (5) years of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports and budgets, supervision of staff, etc.
Additional related experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
