About the position

The Director of Student Success is responsible for enhancing the overall student experience by developing and managing a comprehensive student success program aimed at promoting retention and academic excellence. This role involves working closely with at-risk students to create individualized success plans, coordinating support services, and collaborating with faculty and staff to implement effective intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with at-risk students to develop individualized success plans.
• Coordinate student support services, supplemental instruction, and peer success coaching.
• Refer students to tutoring services as necessary.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and advisors to identify at-risk students.
• Analyze data and trends to develop strategies to improve retention rates.
• Create and implement programs to enhance student engagement and academic performance.
• Coordinate academic success workshops and seminars.
• Collect and analyze data on student success metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations on student success outcomes.
• Connect students with appropriate campus resources and support services.
• Collaborate with various campus departments for a holistic student experience.
• Support and participate in campus events and activities.
• Stay current with best practices in student success and retention.

Requirements

• Master's degree in higher education, counseling, student affairs, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of student development theory and best practices in student success and retention.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with student information systems and data analysis tools.
