About the position

The Director of Supply Chain Operations at Research Medical Center is responsible for overseeing all supply chain functions within the hospital. This role involves managing daily operations, inventory management, vendor relationships, and supply expense management, particularly in the operating room. The director will implement policies, assess performance, and ensure staff education, all while collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes and improve patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all facility Supply Chain operations activities.
• Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations.
• Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility, including standardization programs and online requisitioning.
• Facilitate the implementation of market-based purchasing projects at the facility.
• Coordinate, manage, and evaluate facility Supply Chain personnel.
• Drive supply improvement initiatives within the facility.
• Facilitate product standardization and optimize supply utilization in collaboration with physicians and clinicians.
• Execute the Supply Chain Performance Measurement plan and report results to leadership.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with OR leadership to address supply concerns.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders on Supply Chain OR/Surgical Service initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a healthcare-related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Five years of leadership experience or completion of an Administrative Development program is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare supply chain management.
• Knowledge of HealthTrust Supply Chain best practices.
