Full-time - Director
Reno, NV
5,001-10,000 employees
Ambulatory Health Care Services

About the position

The Director of Supply Chain Operations at Renown Health plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the Supply Chain. This includes central supply management, surgical services management, receiving, deliveries, and perpetual inventories. The Director is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain operations and logistics functions across all acute hospitals. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage front-line operations, ensuring timely deliveries to clinical staff and addressing any incidents reported by them. The Director will also facilitate communication across various levels of the organization, from entry-level staff to the CEO, and will work closely with Nursing and Clinical leadership teams. In addition to operational management, the Director supports the Director of Supply Chain Management in procurement, contractual, and data management functions. A self-starter is essential for this role, as the Director must confirm problem statements, document goals, and lead cross-functional teams with minimal direction to implement process improvements. The position emphasizes accountability while fostering sustainable lean practices across all projects. The Director will also serve as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and will be fluent in areas such as new product introduction, commodity management, compliance, risk management, and cost management. Furthermore, the Director will interface with strategic suppliers and key internal teams to influence sourcing decisions effectively, aiming for optimal cost and delivery outcomes. Periodic inventory reviews will be organized to manage inventory value goals and ensure the removal of obsolete products. It is important to note that this position does not involve direct patient care.
