About the position

The Director of Supply Chain at Lazarus Naturals is responsible for managing and improving operations across various supply chain functions including sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, demand planning, logistics, and order fulfillment. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to implement new systems, negotiate contracts, and optimize processes to ensure the company's growth and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership abilities to build and guide a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve operations across sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, demand planning, logistics, and order fulfillment.
  • Develop and execute strategic operations plans to support business growth and drive efficiency.
  • Lead the execution of warehousing, purchasing, and logistics plans to achieve cost savings and meet business goals.
  • Oversee demand planning and purchasing to ensure continuity of raw materials and components.
  • Create and implement a sustainable supply chain and sourcing strategy.
  • Manage order fulfillment, warehousing, and inventory control processes.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and freight carriers to optimize costs.
  • Lead the implementation of new ERP systems and improve existing supply chain tools.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as Director of Supply Chain, Director of Operations, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in food and/or beverage supply chain and/or logistics.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions across supply chain, budgeting, and management.
  • Sound knowledge of supplier rules and regulations for food, beverage, and dietary supplements.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Passionate about recruiting, training, and coaching team members.
  • Self-starter with excellent prioritization skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Sheets/Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
