About the position

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology PMO to lead our Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology project management, with a focus on implementing best practices, optimizing project delivery, and driving organizational change. The Director of Technology PMO will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of all technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will develop and implement project management policies, standards, and procedures for the organization. You will lead projects and also utilize a team of project managers (as necessary) to provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery. Collaboration with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables will be essential. You will develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones. Identifying and managing project risks and issues while developing mitigation strategies will be a critical part of your responsibilities. You will monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, including senior management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance project delivery capabilities. Providing leadership and direction to project managers and the entire technology team, you will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Additionally, developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be necessary to ensure alignment and support for project goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing a PMO is a plus.
