About the position

The Director of Technology Project Management Office (PMO) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of all technology projects within the organization. This position focuses on implementing best practices in project management, optimizing project delivery, and driving organizational change to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project management policies, standards, and procedures for the organization.
  • Lead projects and utilize a team of project managers to provide guidance and support for successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project managers and the entire technology team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing a PMO is a plus.
