About the position

The Director of Training (Welding) at Tulsa Welding School is responsible for ensuring high levels of student and faculty satisfaction, compliance with academic policies, and the recruitment, training, and development of outstanding instructors. This role focuses on enhancing student retention and involves overseeing curriculum adherence, instructor performance, and program evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure syllabi goals and phase objectives are met through effective correspondence.
• Monitor and update all handouts, videos, and text curriculum for consistency among instructors.
• Evaluate prospective instructors' program tests and their interactions in the lab.
• Coordinate PAC meetings with the Director of Education and Campus President, implementing necessary changes.
• Organize recruiting events, including program contests and demonstrations, in collaboration with the Admissions Department.
• Attend industry-related association meetings and serve as a board member or volunteer when applicable.
• Train and oversee instructors regarding their teaching abilities and subject matter expertise.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations of employee performance and provide feedback.
• Complete weekly and/or monthly reports as directed.
• Interview, hire, and train employees; manage performance appraisals and address complaints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a related field.
• Strongly preferred: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten years related experience.
