About the position

The Director of Office Operations at Datadog will lead operational support across multiple offices, ensuring a positive employee experience and organizational efficiency. This role involves managing office procedures, developing staff, overseeing budgets, promoting collaboration, and maintaining workplace culture, with frequent travel to various offices expected.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Office Operations for Datadog offices across five continents
  • Provide reliable support for operations by implementing procedures and enhancing employee experience
  • Develop, coach, and empower leaders in each office
  • Enhance teamwork, productivity, creativity, and career development for Office Operations team members
  • Nurture a positive, inclusive work environment to achieve organizational efficiency
  • Travel regularly to all offices to ensure consistency and exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with internal departments to foster productive partnerships
  • Partner with the Construction Team to improve physical office design
  • Oversee department budgets, including repairs, furniture, and employee events
  • Use data to track and improve OfficeOps performance in all offices

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of full-time people management experience
  • Experience managing rapid company growth and developing supporting teams
  • Experience with career path development and organizational structure
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic demeanor
  • Willingness to frequently travel to all offices
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on improving workflows and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reputation for implementing pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to remain calm and productive under pressure
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
