Operational management is another critical aspect of this role. The Director will oversee all operational functions, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of operations. Leadership and team development are also key responsibilities. The Director will provide guidance to the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. This includes developing and mentoring direct reports, providing opportunities for growth, and recruiting top talent to build a strong operations team. Financial management is crucial, as the Director will develop and manage the division's operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Monitoring financial performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities will be part of the role, along with analyzing and reporting on operational costs and variances to management. Compliance and risk management are also vital components of this position. The Director will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety, environmental, and quality. Identifying and mitigating operational risks to ensure business continuity will be a priority, along with developing and implementing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing quality.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on results.
  • Proficient in Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
