About the position

The Director of Oncology Operations and Transformation is a leadership role focused on enhancing operational excellence and strategic growth within the oncology service line. This position involves leveraging data-driven insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize patient access, improve the patient experience, and expand programmatic offerings in a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of data-driven process improvement initiatives to enhance patient access, throughput, and quality within oncology clinics and infusion centers.
  • Establish and scale best practices across multiple oncology sites to ensure consistency and reliability in care delivery.
  • Utilize oncology-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and track the impact of operational changes.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify growth opportunities for oncology programs and service lines.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase patient volume, market share, and program revenue, including referral network development and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead the integration of new oncology programs and technologies, ensuring effective resource allocation and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with clinical teams to develop cost-effective resource allocation models that optimize staffing and facility utilization.
  • Analyze patient volume trends and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Design and implement data-driven tools and processes to streamline oncology care delivery and support clinical decision-making.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with oncology physicians, nurses, and administrative leaders to ensure coordinated care delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership/management experience required.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in oncology operations with a proven track record of driving process improvement and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of oncology care delivery models, clinical pathways, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience in using data to inform operational improvements.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
