About the position

Manna Beverages is seeking a Director of Operations for its Center of Excellence. This leadership role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling operations and maintenance functions to align with business goals. The Director will oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while implementing best practices to enhance productivity and customer service. The position requires strategic decision-making and collaboration with various departments to drive operational excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure they meet strategic company goals including safety, quality standards, and financial efficiency.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment operations.
  • Work closely with plant management to improve performance and support innovation.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance to preserve assets and improve equipment reliability.
  • Direct the operation and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment for all facilities.
  • Recommend modifications to existing capital equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure the plant maintenance team is trained on new and upgraded equipment.
  • Align with Engineering on new capital projects for seamless integration into plant operations.
  • Manage and direct automation and process improvement goals for assigned plants.
  • Lead strategic business planning initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
  • Build reliable capacity models to support business needs.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist with safety and environmental systems tasks.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Own all manufacturing and maintenance spending.
  • Implement and refine processes, KPIs, and scorecards to drive accountability and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/management role.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead senior management.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to constructively confront delicate issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in CPG or FMCG industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Spanish language skills.
