About the position

The Director of Operations Center of Excellence at Manna Beverages is a key leadership role responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling operations and maintenance functions across the enterprise. This position aims to maintain profitable operations by integrating business goals with operational processes, enhancing equipment efficiency, and implementing best practices to improve productivity and customer service. The role involves overseeing critical functions, guiding strategic decisions, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure they meet strategic company goals including safety, quality standards, and financial efficiency.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment operations.
  • Work closely with plant management to improve performance and support innovation.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance to preserve assets and improve equipment reliability.
  • Ensure prompt and cost-effective solutions for unanticipated maintenance requirements.
  • Direct the operation and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment for all facilities.
  • Recommend modifications to existing capital equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team on improvements and upgrades to equipment centers.
  • Ensure plant maintenance team is trained on new and upgraded equipment.
  • Align with Engineering on all new capital projects for seamless integration into plant operations.
  • Manage and direct automation and process improvement goals for assigned plants.
  • Lead strategic business planning initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
  • Build reliable capacity models to support business needs.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist with safety and environmental systems tasks.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Own all manufacturing and maintenance spending and accountability for operations, plant design, and policy creation.
  • Implement and refine processes, KPIs, and scorecards to drive accountability and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/management role.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within the manufacturing industry, preferably multi-plant leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to influence and lead senior management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
