About the position

The Director of Operations III at HMSHost is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations in a high-volume environment at Denver International Airport. This role involves directing, planning, and managing the activities of restaurant managers and support staff to ensure operational excellence and financial performance. The Director will build relationships with stakeholders, manage staffing and deployment, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the revenue-generating activities of restaurant managers and support staff.
• Ensure all restaurants are clean, staffed, and operating to high standards.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Interview candidates and make hiring decisions for key positions within the zone.
• Promote HMSHost as an employer of choice in the local community.
• Schedule managers to ensure leadership presence during all operational hours.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and recognize staff contributions.
• Monitor financial and operational data to meet zone goals.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on financial decisions and controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards.

Requirements

• 7 years of management experience in a restaurant setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Demonstrated multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L metrics.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
