This position is integral to the strategic planning and execution of operational goals, ensuring that all facility and organizational objectives are met. The Director will work closely with other senior executive staff to develop both short and long-term strategies that enhance operational efficiency and profitability. In this role, you will lead the direction of both Inbound and Outbound operations, ensuring that performance targets such as Units Per Hour (UPH), Cartons Per Unit (CPU), Service on Time (SOT), and Fill Rate goals are not only met but surpassed. You will provide coaching and guidance to executive team members, oversee colleague counseling and coaching activities, and ensure that all departments meet or exceed performance standards in safety, cost control, quality, processing efficiency, reliability, and customer service. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing strategies to improve profitability and productivity across operations. You will continuously assess work processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement necessary improvements. Cultivating a work culture dedicated to superior customer service is essential, as is establishing and upholding procedures and metrics to ensure customer satisfaction levels are consistently met. Additionally, you will analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to gauge department progress toward goals, develop training programs, and ensure colleague comprehension and adherence to safety protocols. This position requires a proactive approach to managing organizational growth-related changes and collaborating with operational leaders to anticipate staffing needs based on volume plans.
