The Director of Operations Program Support is responsible for developing innovative business processes and supporting tools to enhance operational efficiency within the MTA Construction and Development environment. This role involves applying functional and technical expertise to facilitate process development, financial coordination, and issue resolution while collaborating with various stakeholders to support capital program needs and strategic initiatives.

  • Provide direction to ensure effective implementation of administrative processes and recommend improvements for departmental operations.
  • Manage administrative functions including budget administration, timecard management, procurement requests, and space management.
  • Coordinate with related parties throughout C&D and MTA agencies.
  • Develop, analyze, report, and maintain data systems for effective operations in project management.
  • Prepare data analysis, reporting, and presentations related to capital project management and departmental operations.
  • Manage data and document management activities for project management systems.
  • Support personnel requests and documentation for the department or business unit.
  • Resolve complex issues related to contracts and procurement requests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial or supervisory role in a large organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse administrative functions supporting operations.
  • Experience in implementing MTA policies related to project management and budget preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex issues with confidentiality and judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in financial and budgetary analysis within the MTA environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, business process evaluation, and improvement identification.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Teams.
  • Telework eligibility after 30 days of hire.
  • Competitive salary range from $121,429 to $159,376.
