About the position

Gap Inc.'s Supply Chain Strategy team is at the forefront of developing future end-to-end supply chain capabilities. The Director of Operations Strategy plays a pivotal role in driving large-scale supply chain transformation programs that balance process improvement, advanced analytics, technology, and change management. This position requires a strong problem solver who is passionate about making an impact and building best-in-class supply chain capabilities. The role involves supporting the development of supply chain strategies across various functions, including Product Development, Responsive Program Management, Omni-Channel Fulfillment, and Return Management, as well as logistics. In this role, you will bring thought leadership by staying updated with the latest industry trends and partnering with brand and functional leaders to educate, augment, and evolve the supply chain roadmap and capabilities. You will be responsible for driving change by developing and managing large-scale and complex implementations, ensuring that relevant programs and projects are on track regarding budget, timeline, and scope. Additionally, you will develop financial and operational analytics capabilities to measure impact across all brands, business ventures, and operational functions, aiding company business leaders in decision-making and workforce upskilling to drive sustainable change post-implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support Supply Chain Strategy development across Product Development, Responsive Program Management, Omni-Channel fulfillment & Return Management as well as logistics.
  • Stay abreast with the latest industry trends and partner with brand and functional leaders.
  • Educate, augment and evolve the supply chain roadmap and capabilities.
  • Develop and manage large scale and complex implementations.
  • Develop financial and operational analytics capabilities to measure impact across all brands and operational functions.
  • Engage with company business leaders in decision making and workforce up-skilling to drive sustainable change post-implementation.
  • Own program governance including stakeholder/leadership engagement, analytics, metrics, and reporting.
  • Ensure relevant programs/projects are on track, including budget, timeline, and scope.
  • Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and lead change management and transition.

Requirements

  • Consulting and strategy experience leading process and capability development.
  • Experience in product to market processes for apparel retail, specifically merchandising, inventory management, or other relevant experience.
  • Best-in-class project management experience leading enterprise-wide transformational programs.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams of stakeholders in evaluation of hypotheses, strategic analysis/planning, and operational execution.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and refining project scope, structure, and approach, including frameworks, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and capability roadmaps.
  • Advanced data cleansing, reporting, modeling, and optimization skills.
  • Understanding/foundations in data engineering.
  • Proficient at senior management communication.
