About the position

The Director of Operations at XOS will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing a multi-functional operations team that includes manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, production scheduling/planning, and facilities. This role focuses on driving performance across various operational metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost, utilizing the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations to meet quality and delivery thresholds and drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver on goals related to Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
  • Partner with HR to develop talent and foster a culture of Associate Engagement.
  • Drive Lean Conversion and Continuous Improvement initiatives using the VES Kaizen Funnel.
  • Create and monitor operations-level Policy Deployment and align resources to achieve targeted metrics.
  • Plan and execute new supplier qualifications and manage contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Design and Implementation teams on manufacturability and reliability reviews.
  • Develop and monitor monthly operating budgets and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with standard work policies as defined in ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Evaluate Associate performance through structured coaching and development plans.
  • Develop project management schedules to validate new products using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Oversee facility regulatory compliance with safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of manufacturing management experience in a high complexity environment.
  • 3 years of experience leading a multi-function unit including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics, and facilities.
  • Demonstrated success in a lean manufacturing environment with accountability and execution through metrics.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and engagement across the organization.
  • Track record of leading and developing managers and individual contributors.
  • Strengths in delivering savings through achieving manufacturing and inventory goals.
  • APICS or ISM certification is a plus.
